POLISH FESTIVAL: The Polish Harvest Festival -- Dozynki 2005 -- will be held this weekend on the parish grounds of Holy Mother of the Rosary Cathedral, 6298 Broadway, Lancaster. Festivities will be held from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. There will be live entertainment, a Polish Mass, Harvest Mass, pig roast dinner, puppets, folk tales, foods and crafts, among other activities. Demonstrations and lectures on Polish topics will be available. Tickets are $6 for one day or $9 for a two-day pass. Children under 16 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. CROHN'S AND COLITIS WALK: The Western New York chapter of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America will hold its "Heel to Heal Walk" starting at 11 a.m. Saturday in Island Park, Main Street, Williamsville. Registration will begin at 10. Lunch will be at noon.
BREWFEST: Brewfest 2005, sponsored by Lorenzo International, will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at The Pier, 325 Furhmann Blvd. It will feature more than 100 microbrews from across the United States, live music and drawings. Proceeds will benefit the Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center's Language Literacy Program, designed to assist children with language difficulties. Cost is $20 presale, $25 at the door. CUB SCOUTING ANNIVERSARY BASH: The Boy Scouts of America Greater Niagara Frontier Council will attempt to set a Guinness world record for the most lighted candles on a birthday cake during an event to mark the 75th anniversary of Cub Scouting from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Lincoln Park, Town of Tonawanda.

TASTE OF NORTH BUFFALO: Annual festival will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 500 Parker Ave. and Winston Road. Event features a variety of foods from North Buffalo restaurants, music and childrens activities. Prices between $2 and $3. Proceeds benefit St. Rose Church.
