Lucile Richards Feb. 28, 1920 -- Sept. 13, 2005

Lucile "Bunny" Richards, who had run a dairy farm with her husband, died Tuesday at home after a brief illness. She was 85.

Born Lucile Shaw in Perry, she lived her whole life in the Perry and Silver Lake area. She was a 1938 graduate of Perry High School.

She married Gordon M. Richards in 1938, and in 1942 they began operating a dairy farm, for which she did bookkeeping.

Mrs. Richards was a longtime member of Brick Presbyterian Church and the Wyoming County Fair Association and was a past member of the Home Bureau.

She enjoyed genealogy.

Her husband died in 1983.

She is survived by two sons, James and Carl, both of Silver Springs; a daughter, Joan Richards Meyers of Attica; a sister, Marjorie Shaw of Perry; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Brick Presbyterian Church, North Main St.. Burial will be in West Perry Cemetery.
