Delia C. Niccola, a former inspector for Kimberly-Clark Corp., Niagara Falls, died Monday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness. She was 85.
Born Delia Giuriato in Treviso, Italy, she moved as a child with her family to Niagara Falls, Ont., where she attended school.
In the early 1930s she moved to Niagara Falls, N.Y., and married Dominic Niccola in 1946.
Mrs. Niccola worked for Kimberly-Clark during the 1940s.
She enjoyed crocheting and bingo. She was a fan of the New York Yankees and in her younger years enjoyed playing baseball.
In addition to her husband of 59 years, survivors include two sons, Dennis of Youngstown and Richard of Oviedo, Fla.; a daughter, Rene Hudak of Niagara Falls; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered today in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Niagara Falls, after prayers in M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Chapel, Town of Niagara. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
