Donna A. Philipps, a school principal of Red Lion, Pa., died Saturday in York (Pa/) Hospital of a heart attack. She was 51.
Ms. Philipps was born in Buffalo and earned a bachelor's degree from Medaille College and a master's degree from Canisius College.
She was principal of SS. Peter & Paul School in Hamburg for six years before leaving to be principal of Resurrection School in Lancaster, Pa.
Ms. Philipps "was a lady who valued the education of our youth," said her brother Randy, of the Town of Tonawanda.
In addition to her brother, Ms. Philipps is survived by her parents, Francis J. and Norma C. of Hamburg, and two other brothers, Larry of Hamburg and Wayne of Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in SS. Peter & Paul Church, 66 E. Main St., Hamburg. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
