Diana F. Newman, who worked for 20 years at Linde/L-Tec as a production supervisor, died Friday in Overlook Hospital, Summit, N.J., after an unexpected illness. She was 68.
She was born Diana Munzi in Niagara Falls and attended local schools.
Mrs. Newman operated a carbon arc furnace that produced metal alloys and welding fluxes. She retired five years ago.
She also worked as an Avon representative for 28 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Taresa Chapman Nowak of Niagara Falls; a son, John Malaney Jr. of Watkins Glen; her fiancee, Tom Coless of Lewiston; her father and stepmother, John and JuneMunzi, both of Niagara Falls; a sister, Elaina Gula of Austin, Texas; and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered today in St. John de LaSalle Catholic Church, Niagara Falls. Burial was private.
