Beverly C. Perry of Kenmore, a retired nurse, died Saturday in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Town of Tonawanda, of complications from diabetes. She was 67.
Born Beverly Fleming in Buffalo, she won the Jesse Ketchum Medal as the top eighth-grade student at School 76.
In 1980, she received the Faculty Award as outstanding student at Edna G. Dyett School of Nursing, where she earned her licensed practical nurse license. She was a nurse at Schofield Residence for more than 20 years, retiring in 1992.
A resident of Kenmore for 48 years, she enjoyed gardening and cooking and loved animals of all kinds.
Her husband of 30 years, Max W., died in 1986.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn A., and a son, Kenneth G., both of Kenmore.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Dengler & Roberts Funeral Home, 3000 Delaware Ave., Kenmore.
