A longtime West Seneca resident, Mrs. Prior most recently lived in The Waters of Aurora nursing home, East Aurora.
Born Lauretta Haller in Buffalo, she had done accounting and clerical work for New York Telephone, Dodd's Dairy, Sealtest Dairy and Sportservice, from which she retired in the mid-1970s. She also worked as a seamstress and taught sewing. During World War II, she worked for the war effort.
Mrs. Prior was a longtime member of Winchester Community Church and its Upper Classmen. She enjoyed fine dining, fashion and going to the movies.
She was the widow of Robert Winch, who died in 1938; Hugo Oberhoff, who died in the early 1940s; Earl C. Mattle, who died in 1954; and William Prior, who died in 1967.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Schaub of Elma and Vivian Arricale of Sloan; two stepdaughters, Joan Blum of West Seneca and Ruth Jackson of Summerville, S.C.; a brother, Edward Haller of Syracuse; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Winchester Community Church, 909 Harlem Road, West Seneca.
