Sara Elizabeth Woeppel became the bride of John Emmett Kelly Jr. as the couple were united in marriage during a ceremony at 6 p.m. Saturday in Country Club of Buffalo, where a reception was given. Monroe County Court Judge Steven Lindley heard their exchange of nuptial vows. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gregory C. Woeppel of Amherst and the bridegroom is the son of John E. Kelly and Jane S. Kelly, both of Rochester. The newly married couple will be at home in Washington, D.C., after taking a trip to the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. The bride is a graduate of Nardin Academy and Russell Sage College and is employed as a physical therapist by GlaxoSmithKline. The bridegroom is an assistant U.S. attorney and chief of staff to Michael A. Battle, director of the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys. He is a graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School, University of Rochester and University at Buffalo School of Law.
