Ronald P. Nowe of the City of Tonawanda, a retired telephone company foreman, died unexpectedly Thursday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. He was 76.
The Buffalo native graduated from Kensington High School.
He served with the Army during the Korean War and was a member of Tonawanda Post 264, American Legion.
He worked for what was then the New York Telephone Co., starting as an installer and retiring as a foreman in 1984. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Mr. Nowe enjoyed bowling and golf.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, the former Sally Sloan; two daughters, Deborah Koerber of East Amherst and Kathy Stafford of City of Tonawanda; a son, Douglas of North Tonawanda; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda.
