The Western New York Chapter of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York installed Lisa M. Mueller president. Meuller is associate director for communications and continuing legal education coordinator at the University at Buffalo Law School. Other officers: President-elect and state director, Hilary C. Banker; secretary, Roseanne J. Moran; treasurer, Sheri L. Mooney; immediate past presient and state diretor, Karen E. Richardson; state director, Kelly J. Philips, and Lisa Bloch Rodwin. Chapter 5037 of the American Business Woman's Association named Marilyn Morreale its 2005 Woman of the Year. Morreale is a family support coordinator for Niagara Cerebral Palsy. She has worked in various positions involving advocacy for the disabled for more than 20 years. Morreale is an active member of the ABWA and serves on the Publicity and Special Event Committee as well as on the board of directors for Niagara Cerebral Palsy Recreation Group, Circle of Hope/Hospice Advisory Board; vice president of the board of directors for Miss Niagara Scholarship Program and a member of Operation Petticoat Progress.

The Buffalo Chapter of Financial Women International named Shellie Picone primary executive director for 2005-2006. Picone is vice president and branch manager of M&T Bank's Seneca/Cazenovia office. Other officers: Executive directors, Darlene Liberto, M&T Bank's Corfu office and Carole Lonergan, Buffalo Board of Education; associate director, Christine Blanchard, CTG; secretary, Lynne Erickson, M&T Bank and treasurer, Kristen Anderson, Lumsden and McCormick.

St. Bonaventure University has named Brother F. Edward Coughlin its vice president for Franciscan Mission. In that job, Coughlin will lead efforts to integrate the school's Franciscan mission into all aspects of university life and business. Edward, currently serving as secretary of Holy Name Province in New York City, is a Buffalo native and 1970 graduate of St. Bonaventure.

Niagara University has appointed Michael J. Konopski dean of enrollment management. Konopski, previously the director of undergraduate admissions, succeeds George Patcher. Konopski is a Watkins Glen native who has worked at Niagara since 1999. Next month, he will assume the presidency of the National Catholic College Admission Association, which represents 180 Catholic colleges and universities and promotes the values of Catholic higher education.

Crowley Webb and Associates, a Buffalo marketing communications agency, promoted Lisa Freeman to account supervisor and Tricia Barrett to senior account executive. Freeman joined the agency in 2000 as an account coordinator. She previously served as a marketing coordinator with National Fuel Resources and was a member of the Ingram Micro sales team. Barrett joined the agency in 2003 as an account executive. She previously was an account executive at the Wolf Group in Rochester and Cleveland.
