Suburban Adult Services High Hurdles Program will provide Special Olympics volunteer training at 2 p.m. Saturday in the SAS office, 13339 Route 39, Sardinia. An orientation and informational meeting will begin at 1 p.m. for individuals at least age 16 who are interested in helping riders with special needs participate in therapeutic riding. The Claddagh Commission, 7200 Lake Shore Road, Derby, offers a variety of services for people with developmental disabilities including:
Residential settings and/or day services that accommodate the needs of the individuals served;
At-home services that help individuals meet their needs within their own homes;
