APRIL 29, 1958 -- APRIL 21, 2005

Lorraine M. Valone of Buffalo, a Navy veteran who worked for TLC Health Network, died unexpectedly April 21 in Sisters Hospital. She was 46.

A native of Buffalo, she graduated from Bennett High School and earned an associate's degree from Erie Community College and a bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo.

Ms. Valone served in the Navy as a meteorologist, stationed in Cuba, from 1978 to 1981.

She worked most recently for a year as a family specialist with TLC Health Network's Assertive Community Treatment program. Ms. Valone was a member of the National AIDS Foundation.

Surviving are her parents, Linda Leiser and Russell, both of Buffalo; four sisters, Jenny Sovey of Saranac Lake, Laura Leiser of Belfast, and Debbie Leiser and Karren Christiansen, both of Buffalo; and two brothers, Lee Leiser of the Town of Tonawanda and Travis Leiser of Buffalo.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. May 7 in Trinity Episcopal Church, 5447 Broadway, Lancaster.
