A memorial service for Marvin R. Ray, a foreman at Occidental Chemical Corp. for 37 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls. Burial was in Bradford, Pa.

Mr. Ray died Feb. 24 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 86.

Born in Elkins, W.Va., he attended schools in Corsica, Pa., and lived in the Niagara Falls area for 63 years. He retired from Occidental in 1979.

He was a member of the Hooker Retirees Club and a golfer.

His wife, DeFrance Zahniser Ray, died in 1990. Survivors include two daughters, Louise Livermore of Leesburg, Fla., and Linda Credicott of Niagara Falls; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
