AREA STUDENTS TO DEBUT AT KOSCIUSZKO BALL

Karalyn Katherine Rivard, a sophomore in Canisius College, and Veronica Couzo, a junior in the Buffalo Seminary, will be presented during a cotillion at the Kosciuszko Foundation's annual dinner and ball Saturday in the Waldorf-Astoria, New York City.

Rivard, daughter of Mark and Therese Rivard of Amherst, is an alumna of Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart and is an Army reservist who recently returned from Iraq where she served with 641 Adjunct General Company, processing mail for soldiers and civilians stationed in Baghdad.

Couzo, daughter of Lidia Couzo of Buffalo and Pedro Couzo, is a junior in Buffalo Seminary. She toured England and Ireland with the St. Paul's Cathedral Choir and formed an all-girls school coalition to raise money for schools in post-Taliban Afghanistan. She is a volunteer in Albright-Knox Art Gallery.
