Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center Auxiliary President Helen Smith, volunteer David Kenyon and volunteer director Karen Hurtubise-Pashong were among more than 250 people who turned out for a dinner last week to honor hundreds of volunteers at the hospital.
Last year, those volunteers donated more than 44,000 hours of their time to deliver services that included 5,867 CARExpress rides and 30,439 patient escorts.
Leading the way were Kenyon and Jim Conny, each of whom gave more than 1,000 volunteer hours.
A new volunteer program video also debuted at the dinner. It was produced in conjunction with the Niagara Falls High School Media Department and high school interns Heather Gorman and Megan Rossman.
