As a resident of Buffalo, I am very concerned about all the fees and added expenses. There appears to be no end to the constant increases. Now the mayor is considering increasing the garbage user fee. If you take in consideration the high unemployment rate, the high gas prices and all the other increased fees, how in the world is one supposed to survive?

The financial burden placed upon the residents left in this city is too great. I believe a commuter tax for non-residents is an option that should be considered. Many workers come into the City of Buffalo and are paid good salaries, however, none of that money remains in the city.

The residents did not create this budget crisis, the elected officials did. It appears we are at their mercy. If the increases are not adhered to, then people are fined even more. How does a citizen fight back?
