A graveside memorial service for Marcella Mae Oldfield, a retired chief account clerk, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel Lawn section of Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
She died Nov. 28, 2004, at home in Knoxville, Tenn. She was 81.
Born Marcella Mae Holmes in Bayliss, Ill., she worked in the Erie County Health Department for more than 30 years, primarily as chief account clerk in the payroll department.
She retired in 1984 and left this area in 1986, first moving to Florida, and later Tennessee, to be with family.
Her husband, Frank S. "Barney," who had been chief chef at Major Hooples and Mother's Bakery, died in 1981.
Survivors include two brothers, Dr. John Walterscheid of Hannibal, Mo., and Roy Holmes of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Shirley Kembel of Cheyenne, and Lois Jean Crawford of Bayliss, Ill.; two grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
