Creeley appreciation was refreshing
(Regarding Jeff Miers' April 2 piece on poet Robert Creeley.) Your article in the Buffalo News April 2 about Robert Creeley, and what he meant in your life, was so good. Refreshing. Not an obit, but as it was accurately headed, an "Appreciation."
You really gave us a sense of Creeley, what he was all about, while speaking of the effect he had on you. A sense of the sadness at the heart of things. And what you said about Kerouac/"On the Road" was great. Talk about encapsulating.
