FOUR REVERSE VOTES ON APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Four Erie County lawmakers have switched their votes, agreeing that the minutes of the Legislature's disputed meeting of Dec. 8 are incomplete.

The minutes don't show the crucial procedural objection voiced by Majority Leader Lynn M. Marinelli, D-Town of Tonawanda. Had her objection been acknowledged, the Legislature might not have adopted a controversial version of its budget for this year before the midnight deadline.

Republicans Denise E. Marshall of Lancaster and Barry A. Weinstein, Elise M. Cusack and Michael H. Ranzenhofer, all of Amherst, said they had not realized that the records of several meetings recently put before legislators for approval included those from Dec. 8.

Despite the change, the minutes remain approved on the revised 9-5 vote, with one member absent.
