Former Alabama football coach Mike DuBose, the Southeastern Conference coach of the year in 1999, was hired as the defensive coordinator at Division III Millsaps. DuBose was forced to resign from his alma mater midway through the 2000 season after Alabama was placed on probation for rules violations under his watch.
