An Akron corrections officer who allegedly had "inappropriate sexual contact" with inmates at Albion Correctional Facility was charged with several crimes Thursday, state troopers reported.
Aaron S. Sklener, 33, faces two counts of sexual abuse, six counts of official misconduct and one count of forcible touching. He was originally charged March 30 with one count of sexual abuse and one count of official misconduct.
The new charges resulted from information developed from the original investigation, police said. Sklener allegedly had inappropriate sexual contact with two additional inmates that he supervised at the facility.
He was arraigned and released pending a May 19 appearance in Albion Town Court.
