A frozen beverage hurled by a passing motorist at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday is believed to have triggered a collision involving a school bus, sport utility vehicle and United Parcel Service truck.

Niagara Falls police said damage was heavy, but no one was injured. There were 35 Niagara Falls high school students on the bus.

Superintendent Carmen A. Granto said the frozen concoction apparently flew into an open window on the bus, distracting the bus driver.

The bus then struck the UPS truck, which in turn hit a parked SUV.

Niagara Falls Traffic Officer Michael Drake said no charges were filed.
