Season passes for the Hyde Park Golf Course go on sale at the clubhouse at 10 a.m. today, and the course will open for play Friday, said director Sam Granieri.
"We've been working to prepare the courses, and now that we have the rates, we can start selling passes," Granieri said.
The passes have typically been on sale earlier in the year, but Mayor Vince V. Anello waited to verify prices while he requested that the City Council consider a rate increase. The Council rejected a proposal to raise rates, so passes will remain at last year's rates: $375 for a resident season pass; $475 for a nonresident season pass; $250 for resident senior citizens; and $375 for nonresident senior citizens.
Granieri said the clubhouse will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Thursday, and, weather permitting, the course will be fully open Friday. The clubhouse will begin operating under normal season hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
