George Will's comparison of the filibuster to "separation of powers, bicameral legislature, etc." is quite a stretch. He said, "the filibuster registers intensity, enabling intense minorities to slow or stop legislation."
If we wanted the minority party, Democrat or Republican, to have the ability to slow or stop legislation, we wouldn't have voted for the majority party. The filibuster is an unrealistic, illogical blocking mechanism to the political process and should be eliminated now and forever.
