I suppose that I should thank Comptroller Nancy Naples, for she has given me excellent responses to use if I ever get notified that the state or the IRS is going to audit my taxes. First I'll say that I checked my returns and they are in order, so please quit this witch hunt. To their second request, I'll say I did find some "mistakes and oversights," but they are my wife's fault. When they press further, I'll say that I'd really like to comply, but I am way too busy. Finally, when they request a face-to face meeting, I'll agree, as long as they come to my house. I'm sure that will clear everything up.
