Peter C. Gunn of the Town of Tonawanda, a former restaurant worker, died Tuesday in the McAuley Residence, Kenmore, after a brief illness. He was 43.
A native of Buffalo, he graduated from Bennett High School. During his senior year, he was named to the All-High baseball team as a first baseman.
Mr. Gunn managed several local restaurants, most recently John's Pizza in the Town of Tonawanda and before that Bob & John's La Hacienda and Avenue Pizza.
He played baseball and softball in several leagues.
Surviving are his wife, Lynette Williams Gunn; a son, Matthew, and a daughter, Randi, both at home; his mother, Diane Gunn, and a sister, Mary Kaye Legge, both of Amherst; and a brother, William Jr. of Lancaster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 500 Parker Ave.
