M. Isobel Small of the City of Tonawanda, a retired registered nurse, died Sunday in St. Francis Home in Williamsville after a brief illness. She was 84.
Born Isobel McKnight in Sudbury, Ont., she graduated from North Tonawanda High School and Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing.
She worked as a registered nurse at DeGraff Memorial Hospital in North Tonawanda for over 40 years, retiring in the mid-1980s.
Her husband of 56 years, Clinton H., died in 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Thomas C. of East Amherst and Bradley G. of Wheaton, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in Tonawanda United Methodist Church, 221 Morgan St., City of Tonawanda.
