Live racing returns to the Finger Lakes Race Track today when the thoroughbred track kicks off its 44th season with a nine-race card that starts at 1:10 p.m.

The track's 44th season is scheduled for 160 race days, running through Nov. 29.

The stakes calendar contains 17 added-money races worth slightly more than $1 million, topped by the $150,000-added New York Derby on July 16.

The track will generally be open Fridays through Tuesdays but Sunday racing will not start until May 8.
