A traffic stop on Grand Island on Thursday night led to the arrest of an Arizona man on a felony drug charge, after an Erie County sheriff's K-9 dog helped deputies find some cocaine in the man's vehicle.
Deputy Warren Luick stopped the vehicle for speeding on Grand Island Boulevard at about 8:45 p.m. He called for Deputy Terrence Guenot and his K-9 partner, Rikor. Deputies recovered a quarter ounce of powder cocaine.
They charged Sean A. Dempsey, 39, with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance.
