APRIL 7, 1913 -- APRIL 12, 2005

Jerome H. Nawrocki of Lancaster, a retired carpenter, died Tuesday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after a brief illness. He was 92.

Born in Buffalo, Mr. Naw-
rocki was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He was a carpenter for Carpenters Local 503, retiring in 1978.

Mr. Nawrocki was a member and past commander of American Legion Post 1528 in Depew and Twin Village Post 463, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Depew.

A parishioner at St. Augustine Catholic Church, he was a member of its Holy Name and Usher societies; a past grand knight with Father John Schaus Council 4652, Knights of Columbus; and a fourth-degree member of St. Maximillian Kolbe Assembly.

Mr. Nawrocki also was an honorary member of the Polish Singing Society, a member of Polish Falcons in Depew and a member of the Townline Volunteer Fire Department Benevolent Association.

His wife, the former Casimera "Kay" Haloff, died in 1973.

Survivors include a son, Robert of Mechanicsville, Va.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Augustine Church, 425 Penora St., Depew, with prayers at 9:45 in Pacer Funeral Home, 428 Penora St. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
