Ferdinand "Fred" Grzybowski of Youngstown, a former maintenance worker for the Niagara Falls Board of Education, died Monday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. He was 86.
Born in Buffalo, he moved with his family to Wilson when he was a child and attended local schools. He worked for the Board of Education for 28 years, retiring in 1980 and moving to Youngstown.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Leona Gadawski Grzybowski; and two sisters, Mildred Orzulak of Eggertsville and Ruth Moore of Ransomville.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered today in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial was in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
