An 18-year-old North Tonawanda woman was hospitalized Friday evening after she was hit on the head with a brick during a fight with another woman, police said.
Jaimie Shearer told police the fight began at about 8:15 p.m. at 19th Street and Ferry Avenue. The two separated, but the other woman picked up a brick and hit Shearer on the forehead before a man standing nearby disarmed her, police said.
Two other woman then joined the fracas before the 23-year-old woman with whom Shearer had been fighting fled on foot, police said. Shearer was treated in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
