Colorado College center Marty Sertich won the Hobey Baker Award on Friday, taking the honors as college hockey's top player.

The junior led the nation in scoring with 64 points in 42 games while helping the Tigers to the Frozen Four. Colorado College (31-9-3) was beaten 6-2 by Denver in the national semifinals on Thursday night.

When his name was announced, Sertich shook hands with his linemate, junior forward Brett Sterling, who was also a finalist for the award. The third finalist was Cornell sophomore goaltender David McKee.

Tonight, the University of Denver (31-9-2) faces North Dakota (25-14-5) for the Frozen Four championship (7, ESPN).
