MAN ADMITS BURNING WOMAN WITH HOT IRON

A Niagara Falls man accused of burning a woman's face with a hot iron pleaded guilty Friday in Niagara County Court to a misdemeanor.

Judge Peter L. Broderick Sr. scheduled sentencing May 26 for Letcher S. Potter, 45, of Fourth Street, who admitted to third-degree assault.

Potter was accused of attacking Sherina Harper March 18, 2004, in her home.

Defense attorney Mark D. Grossman charged at arraignment that Harper had a history of self-inflicted wounds and demanded copies of her psychiatric records.
