Niagara County sheriff's deputies returned to Sunbury, Pa., to arrest a man accused of violating probation in a second-degree rape case.

Derek T. Webber, 35, a former Lockport resident, was brought back to Niagara County Thursday night.

Investigator Pat Cerminara said Webber had been brought from Sunbury last year to stand trial on the rape complaint, which had been filed with Lockport Police in 2003 by the parents of a 14-year-old girl.

Cerminara said Webber was convicted, sentenced to probation and allowed to serve his probation in Pennsylvania.

"He violated his probation. He just never showed up" to see his probation officer, Cerminara said.
