Toronto police and U.S. marshals handed custody Friday of three out-of-state fugitives to Niagara County sheriff's deputies.
The three had been arrested in Toronto in unrelated incidents. After extradition hearings in Niagara County Court, the three will be turned over to states with outstanding warrants.
Hussain Mohammad, 22, is wanted for felony grand larceny charges in Florida; Lewis Bernard McLean, 30, is wanted for rape and robbery charges in Georgia; and Fahel Faroug Elbataineh, 40, is wanted on homicide charges in West Virginia.
Investigator Pat Cerminara said the favor is returned on this side of the border.
"We do look for Canadian fugitives," he said.
