Lockport's Grigg-Lewis Foundation has awarded the city a $120,000 grant over two years to pay in full for improvements at Dolan Park on Clinton Street, Mayor Michael W. Tucker announced this week.

Tucker said he needs to meet with the foundation board to decide how the money will be spread over the two years. "We do have a comprehensive plan for that park," Tucker said. It involves improved fences, new playground equipment and improvements to the condition of the ball diamonds.

The city had asked for $132,000, so the plan will have to be trimmed slightly. "I'm very grateful. We're lucky to have them," Tucker said of the foundation.
