Peter P. Connell, a retired maintenance worker, died Tuesday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 91.
He was a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where he graduated from Coughlin High School.
During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in North Africa.
Mr. Connell worked as a pipe fitter in Wilkes-Barre before moving to Niagara Falls in 1955 and going to work in maintenance for Union Carbide Corp. In 1960, he went to work at Niagara County Community College, retiring in 1977.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Agnes Kachar, and a son, Robert P. of Niagara Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Ave. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
