A dispute among teenage girls erupted into a full-scale brawl Friday afternoon, police said, with dozens of people engaged in a fight in the 1100 block of Willow Avenue.
Officers said that as they dispersed the combatants, they found a 41-year-old man sitting on the curb, bleeding from a pair of facial wounds. He told police he had been struck in the face with a brick while trying to intervene in a dispute between his daughter and some other girls.
One of the girls was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center by her mother, and police said they went to the hospital to arrest the girl, Dora L. Roberts, 16, on a felony assault charge. The Willow Avenue resident is accused of throwing the brick that struck the man.
Roberts was charged with second-degree assault.
