ONE-CAR CRASH LEADS TO FELONY DWI CHARGE

A West Falls man convicted three times for drunken driving was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after he crashed his car early Friday in Newstead, Erie County sheriff's officials said.

Daniel J. Crocker, 48, of Old Glenwood Road was traveling on Nice Road at about 5 a.m. when his vehicle went into a ditch.

Crocker also was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation, driving with a suspended registration, criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and unlawful possession of marijuana, deputies said.

He was taken into custody, pending arraignment.
