The Willow Ridge Garden Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Shirley Magee, 2593 Sweet Home Road, Amherst, for a business meeting to transfer duties to newly elected officers and committee heads. Program for 2005-2006 will be discussed. New members welcome.

Master Gardener/The Buffalo News Garden Expert Sally Cunningham will present "The Most-Asked Questions about Your Yard and Garden" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Immaculata Academy, 5138 South Park Ave., Hamburg. The Orchard Park Garden Club will meet at noon Thursday at the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. A business meeting will be followed by a presentation on enhancing your landscapes and gardens by Sue Murray, owner of the Water Valley Nursery, 6666 Gowanda State Road, Hamburg.

The Eighth District Federated Garden Clubs will hold its spring meeting Thursday in Fox Valley Club, Lancaster.

Sandy Baker, president of the Monroe County Alliance for Wildlife Protection, will present "An Easy Five Step Plan to Deer Proof Your Garden," at 7 p.m. Monday at the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda. An optional handbook will be available for $3.50, of which 50 cents will be donated to the library.
