Albert P. Carroll, a foreman for U.S. Gypsum in Oakfield for 32 years, died Thursday in his doctor's office after a brief illness. He was 78.
Mr. Carroll was born in the Town of Alabama and lived his entire life in the area, attending local schools.
He retired from U.S. Gypsum in 1982.
Mr. Carroll was a member of East Shelby Community Bible Church and for nine years was sexton of Millville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, the former Barbara Hartwick; a son, John A. of Millville; a daughter, Patricia Charache of Millville; a brother, Roger of Oakfield; three sisters, Nancy Casper of Batavia, Cora Odell of Akron and Ruth Lawrence of the Town of Alabama; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in East Shelby Community Bible Church, East Shelby Road, East Shelby. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery.
