SISTER MARY OF VICTORY, D'YOUVILLE ADMINISTRATOR

Sister Mary of Victory, a former administrator at D'Youville College, died Tuesday in St. Joseph Manor, Meadowbrook, Pa. She was 94.

Born Ellen C. Kinsella in Jenkintown, Pa., she entered the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart on Aug. 24, 1926.

Her career as educator, counselor and administrator included being dean of students at D'Youville College from 1963 to 1967.

In addition to her service at the college, she taught various subjects at Holy Angels School, St. Rose of Lima and Holy Angels Academy.

She also taught and was a guidance counselor in Philadelphia-area parochial high schools for 24 years and was teacher and principal in elementary schools in Jackson Heights, Queens and Corona.

She had a bachelor of arts degree in social studies from D'Youville College and a master's in counseling from Catholic University of America.

She held a permanent secondary school guidance certificate and membership in a variety of professional organizations throughout her career.

Alert and energetic even in her retirement, she remained interested in world and local events and walked daily into her 90s until her health declined.

She is survived by a brother, Francis J. Kinsella of Florida.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today in Grey Nuns Motherhouse, 1750 Quarry Road, Yardley, Pa. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, Pa.
