Hiscock and Barclay elected Robert P. Heary to a three year term as managing director of the Buffalo office. Heary is a partner at the law firm.

Hodgson Russ attorney Kenneth D. Suzan and library services manager Joan T. White recently delivered presentations at a CLE seminar titled, "Select Topics for Legal Staff" at the Buffalo Conference Center. The seminar was hosted by Lorman Education Services. Jeffrey W. Stone, a partner in the firm's Real Estate and Finance Practice Group, was a featured speaker at the New York State Government Finance Officers' Association western region holiday seminar in Rochester recently. Stone addressed "Legal Issues Surrounding Advance Refundings."

Brock, Schechter and Polakoff manager John Walczak achieved certified fraud examiner certification.

Aspire of Western New York, formerly the United Cerebral Palsy Association, named Shannon Bohlman PR and marketing coordinator. A Niagara University graduate, Bohlman previously was a PR account specialist at Gelia Wells and Mohr.

Contributing

Tops Markets donated $87,035 to the Salvation Army and $48,843 to the Food Bank of Western New York through its Hope for the Holidays program. The money is collected in area Tops markets and provides food, warm clothing and toys for low-income families in Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties.
