METRO RAIL WILL HAVE EXTENDED SERVICE TONIGHT

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority will offer extended Metro Rail service for New Year's Eve revelers attending the 17th Annual Ball Drop festivities in Roosevelt Square in downtown Buffalo.

The last train will depart the Erie Canal Harbor Station at 2 a.m. Saturday. Metro Rail will be halted temporarily, starting at 11:30 p.m., to make room for crowds expected to fill Roosevelt Square and the track area. Service will resume immediately after the ball drop has been completed.
