Awards were presented to the winners of the Centennial Art Center Annual Fall Members Show at an evening reception Nov. 13. Recipients include: best of show, Holly R. Nachbar; second place, Dorothy Markert; third place, Nancy Miller; honorable mentions, Barbara Castiglia, Ethel Cochran and Jack Edson. The Grace Rosati Memorial Award went to Judith C. Witt for her found-objects mosaic "I Saw It Coming," and the Judges Award went to Sandra Bartz for her "Untitled" oil painting.


Male actors are being sought for paid speaking roles in a historical epic about St. Nicholas. Men should be within the age range of 25 and 40. A Mediterranean look is necessary. The Lancaster Opera House will hold season auditions for Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" and "Betsy's Irish Wedding" from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 10 and 11 in the Lancaster Opera House, 21 Central Ave., Lancaster. The Niagara Regional Theatre Guild will hold auditions for its May production of "Nunsense" at 7 p.m. Jan. 10 and 11 in the Historic Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda. The Ghostlight Theatre will hold auditions for its upcoming production of the classic comedy "The Man Who Came to Dinner" from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the theater, 170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda. Calls for works
Musicians for Miracles will be presenting the first in a series of "Music Mania" concerts on Jan. 22 in the Historic Riviera Theatre. Thie event will showcase the talent of five local bands. Any band interested in participating in the concert series should send in its best song on CD along with a registration fee of $25 to P.O. Box 190, Tonawanda, NY 14150. The deadline is Saturday.
