EIGHT PUBLIC SESSIONS SCHEDULED FOR FLU SHOTS

The Visiting Nursing Association of Western New York will hold eight public flu immunization sessions next month.

The schedule: 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Wayside Presbyterian Church, Hamburg; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Northwest Buffalo Community Center; noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, the Medicine Shoppe, Lockport; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 12, West Side Community Center; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 13, the Drug Shoppe, North Tonawanda; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 14, Ismailia Shrine Temple, West Seneca; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 14 and 15, Boulevard Mall, Amherst.

State public health officials are continuing to limit flu shots to individuals at high risk of complications. These include adults 65 and older, people with underlying medical conditions and all children ages 6 months to 23 months.
