MAN SENT TO PRISON IN FELONY DWI CASE

Thomas L. Switaj Jr., 33, of Weston Mills, was ordered by Cattaraugus County Judge Larry M. Himelein to spend the next one to three years in state prison and pay a $3,500 fine for his conviction on charges of felony drunken driving and aggravated unlicensed driving.

Cattaraugus County District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said Switaj, whose driver's license had been revoked because of a prior alcohol-related conviction, had a blood-alcohol reading of 0.21 percent when he was arrested in a drunken-driving charge in the Town of Allegany last Dec. 13.
