HOW CAN STATE LAWMAKERS EVEN CONSIDER A PAY RAISE?

With Erie County fighting for its financial life, how can our state legislators have the gall to consider a pay raise? What have they done to warrant one? Have they forgotten that the state budget has been late for the past 20 years? By asking for a pay raise, our state legislators are saying that New York State does have money.

Is it just me, or am I the only person who wonders why our legislators waited until after the election to bring up this issue?
