POLICE FIND 3 STORES SELLING ALCOHOL TO MINORS

Lancaster and Depew police have collaborated on a sting operation using underage decoys who bought alcohol from three of the 15 businesses targeted over the weekend, police said Monday.

The sting operation, led by Lancaster Detective Donald Lynch and Depew Detective Bernard Farrell, took place Friday night, when clerks at the three stores were charged with selling alcohol to a minor, a misdemeanor.

Police identified the three stores as the Wilson Farms at 5380 Genesee St., Town of Lancaster; the Mobil station at 1 Central Ave., Village of Lancaster; and the Noco station at Transit Road and Hanwell Place, Depew.
